Milestone types

Milestone types keep your release cadence consistent. They act as presets when teams create milestones inside projects.

Fields​

  • Name – e.g., Release, Sprint, Hotfix, UAT.
  • Is default – The default type is pre-selected when new milestones are created. Useful if most milestones follow the same pattern.

Usage tips​

  • Create types that match your reporting cadence so analytics can group milestones meaningfully.
  • Update the default type when your organisation pivots (e.g., moving from monthly releases to continuous delivery).
